Catba Papillon Garden Bungalow & Resort

Had a really nice three night stay here. The staff were all smiley, nice and helpful. It's a bit further out but taxis into town were reliable and a fixed price. Good place to stay if you want to get away from the noise and traffic.

This homestay was booked for us via an agent as part of a tour. Food was nice, staff were friendly. Bed was hard as a rock - might as well have been sleeping on a concrete slab Room wasn't clean, shower kept flooding the bathroom, the toilet kept blocking. Location is quite far from everything so you need to get taxis or a scooter. Got ripped off with laundry - triple the price of most other places.

10/10 recommend staying here! The friendly and kind staff make your stay memorable and low stress. The grounds are beautifully maintained and offer maximum relaxation.

Great place to have your base on Cat Ba far from city lights. It’s a garden with butterflies and a pool. Good food, nice rooms, great team that helps with booking local attractions or way back to Hanoi. You can also rent bikes here so getting everywhere is easy.

This place was so peaceful, in rural area with beautiful grounds, flowers and butterflies. It was great to go out site seeing and come back to calm. Rented a moped which was a great way to get around. If you want to go out at night into Catba grab worked well. The menu was extensive & food was good. Breakfast included was a good choice. Sitting by pool was peaceful and a great place to cool down down. Definitely recommended, the staff were amazing, helpful and kind !

Great prices, they clean rooms every day and a great menu, clean kitchen with free breakfasts included. Very lovely and accommodating staff and great owner. Big shout out to our friends Duuom and Balloon in particular for their hard work ensuring we had a great stay.
