Nestled in a quiet, more upmarket district, this well-furnished and decorated bistro serves great coffee and pastries during the day, and meals in the evenings. Service is attentive, polite, and professional. The ambiance is calm and relaxing with indoor and outdoor seating options. There are also counter seats for those who wish to observe their drip coffee being prepared. Some customers would bring their books and laptops to spend a longer session soaking in the vibes with a refuelling cuppa.

I found this bistro to be a mixed experience. The coffee is quite nice, which is always a plus for any brunch spot. However, they no longer serve Yemeni coffee, which was one of their unique offerings. As for the food, I wouldn't say it's particularly impressive. My friends ordered the same dish - croissant brunch options, and the quality was inconsistent. One croissant was overly salty, while the other was just okay. It seems there’s a lack of consistency in how the food is prepared. I ordered pasta, which tasted more like a home-cooked dish rather than something you'd expect at a bistro, which was a bit of a letdown. The desserts didn’t do much to tempt me either. They looked almost like something you’d find at a local supermarket, which didn't seduce me to give them a try. Overall, while the coffee is good, the food and desserts leave much to be desired. If you're just stopping by for a cup of coffee, it might be worth it, but I wouldn't recommend it for the food. On a positive note, the interior of the bistro is quite pleasant and provides a nice atmosphere for a casual meal or coffee. But this is contrasted by the poorly organized toilet facilities, which could use some improvement.
This charming bistro, tucked away on a quaint alleyway, really delivered according to its Michelin recognition. The single origin coffee is next level, and paired with a Benedict Bagel…it was brunch perfection. Our dinner meal was also on point, executed delightfully and served by professional and knowledgeable staff.
We came here because we saw it listed as a Michelin Bib Restaurant. The staff were very attentive, and service was excellent. The atmosphere was also nice, it was laid back, but it gave a sense of sophistication. The food was also good. We especially liked the duck breast, octopus salad and burrata. The steak was cooked medium rare, but the pepper sauce was too “peppery” and overpowered the flavor of the beef. The pork bbq was tender and falls off the bone. Too bad I didn’t get to try the coffee. I would definitely come back to this cafe if i was in Hanoi again and take my time to chill, drink coffee and just take my time.
I wanted to love Habakuk. Located down an atmospheric alley in Hanoi, Habakuk gives the impression of a hidden club, known only by you. It was night time, and we were having dinner in the bistro. The space is charming, designed very well with a modern, European aesthetic. I loved it. Our drinks were prepared beautifully, with enormous ice cubes, like the ones used in the top mixology bars. Service matched the charm of the interior. The Burrata tomato salad was delicious, everything fresh. My grilled octopus salad was refreshing, the greens tasting garden fresh. However, the octopus was tougher than shoe leather. Both entrees let us down. The grilled grouper was terribly overcooked, destroying the taste of the fish. My beef cheek pasta was okay at best, the pasta was not Al dente, and the beef cheek wasn’t tender. It was a sad dish, leaving me depressed about Habakuk. This restaurant has so much potential, but Michelin’s recognition was premature. Fix the entrees or concentrate on being a cafe.
