This review is for the emergency room, my experience was truly horrendous. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have chron’s disease with a history of small bowel obstruction and I obstructed on the plane to HMC so when I landed the crew had an ambulance ready and took me here likely because it was the closest facility. I am very familiar with emergency rooms and hospitals. I have never had worse care. The nurses ignored me completely and treated me like a nuisance. I was given an anti naseau that didn’t work at all and when I tried to ask for another I was ignored. I needed liquids via IV because I couldn’t eat or drink and the nurses couldn’t get the drip to work. Two of them adjusted it 6 times over 6 hours and it never stayed, and they tried to blame me for moving. I have never had an issue with a nurse getting liquids set up, I feel they were barely trained. And I paid for the liquids in the end that I literally didn’t get, which was a crazy risk because I could have become severely dehydrated. The doctors weren’t much better, mostly ignoring me. They did not understand my condition and ordered irrelevant tests which were a waste of time and money. Unfortunately there was almost no English communication so I even though I tried to advocate it wasn’t being received. By the time they ordered a relevant test I had decided to discharge myself and get to a better facility. For discharge I was prescribed a few random pills which is insane because if they had understood the fact that I was obstructing they would have known I can’t take any oral medication. I just paid for it and got out of there as fast as I could. I went to FV hospital which I couldn’t recommend more, total professionals. I was not admitted to the Tam Anh hospital so I can’t speak to that, but the ER was an actual nightmare. There were two young girls screaming like they were dying and no one seemed very concerned, it was too surreal.
