We found the restaurant of acceptable level of taste and quality. Dinner was served on time and was fairly good, though neither the look nor feel of the restaurant was at par with the expectations one would have from a 5-star hotel. The atmosphere felt a bit too quiet and, for lack of a better term, dead. There was no music and, to make things worse, the vibe was dull and, frankly, out dated. The rest of the hotel from the rooms to the common areas looked old and tired. The texted themed colors chosen for the property did not seem to be well maintained, which is extremely disappointing considering it’s a Taj property. It goes without saying that the hotel requires renovation in order to be at par with modern standard and enhance guest experience. With that said, its safe to say the staff was more than courteous and the food was truly eye catching, but this all felt a bit underwhelming given the surrounding infrastructure that seemed to lack care and love.
