Maison De Lao Chai

We found this place while we were trekking and stopped for the night. It was such a lovely surprise. The rooms are beautifully decorated and immaculately cleaned (the place is brand new and I think we were one of the first guests). The rooms also had the most beautiful view of the rice fields and river. The staff are very kind and helpful. Great food in the restaurant and the best cappuccino we had while in Vietnam! We loved our stay here and couldn’t fault it. Thankyou !!

The place was perfectly located for travelers who want to be close to the city center (15mins by car) while being closer to nature with an impressive view to rice fields and a step away from the best hike in the Sapa area. The hotel is very tastefully decorated. We felt in a 5-star hotel with new linens, a very comfortable bed, beautiful decoration and a wonderful balcony. Breakfast (included) was very good. The dinner options were varied and very tasty. We liked it so much that we extended our stay. On the downside, it would benefit from more touristic information, particularly for those who want to hike independently without a local guide. In sum, a wonderful surprise which we fully recommend.

Awesome view of the rice fields, rooms are super clean with spacious balconies, and they're cool with early check-ins. Plus, they've got space for yoga and serve up a tasty breakfast. But, the staff's English is a bit iffy and the wifi's pretty patchy.

The room is clean and spacious, and the beautiful view than I anticipated, we got a good night rest. All staffs are kind and friendly, we felt comfortable stay here. The handmade meals and the snacks are fresh and delicious, and I highly recommend Cappuccino and Latte which are amazing and different from other coffee I drank in Vietnam.

Wonderful rooms, lovely details, this place is crafted by heart. The views in the morning during sunrise are just stunning. The lodges are situated in a tiny side valley with a view towards Lao Chai. You are in the middle of nature, silence, birds, crickets & cows and chickens on rice terraces. There is a cute yoga place on the outside terrace, the cappuccino in the morning, made by this really nice and kind girl is the best I had in whole Vietnam! All the staff was very kind and helpful. To get to Sapa and the surroundings, it’s advisable to rent a motorbike (15 minutes distance) easiest is directly from the hosts. The roads are a bit rocky but you’ll get used to it. We had dinner in the restaurant once. It was very good. The terrace of the restaurant has beautiful views, especially during sunrise and breakfast. If I came back to Vietnam & Sa Pa, I’d definitely come back to this place.

Perched on the side of a hill, looking across stunning views of the rice fields and valley below, all rooms seem to face out to this stunning view. The staff are super friendly and helpful, food in the hotel is good and they can cater to vegans too. There is also a small vegetarian restaurant a short walk up the hill, but other than that you're surrounded by nothing but nature; it is such a sanctuary after Sa Pa town. The room was very comfortable and the bed was perfect, I had a great night's sleep. Location is very good for exploring Lao Chai and many of the guided walks go right past the hotel. I chose to just do some treks myself and found it easy to navigate.

We stayed 3 nights in this wonderful hotel, the staff are really lovely, the rooms have a magnificent view over the rice fields in the valley. The owner is Vietnamese so don't hesitate to stay here, you won't be disappointed.

It was our best stay. From the start, it was a thrilling and exciting experience. The staff at the hotel is very friendly. We were once lost, and the manager promptly sent their hotel taxi and picked us up. To our surprise, we were invited to a Christmas and New Year party.
