When we moved into the apartment, the furniture looked like in the photos, but was visibly worn out, but seemed okaish for a rented flat. But later we noticed numerous stains on various surfaces, as well as yellow stains on the toilet seat and the bathroom wall in front of the toilet. I had to clean toilet myself. We messaged the host about this, and they said they would send a cleaner in the morning. When the cleaner arrived, we were still asleep. I asked her through a translator if she could come back in an hour, and she agreed. About 10 minutes later, the host rudely messaged us in the chat and told us to leave. We agreed. We asked for a refund for the next night and for the deposit which we had to give them since they have such a rule. He said he would return the deposit only tomorrow after 12 p.m., but only after we leave a review on Booking.com and he will check it first. He also said he would not refund the money for the extra night. So we had to stay. Also facilities listed were not here: no swimming pool - staff told us it is only for residents of the building, but it's listed in the booking; and no washing machine. He wrote several very rude messages, while accusing me of being the rude one. I have screenshots of the entire conversation. I want to point out that the girl who checked us in was very sweet. She was also the one who came for the checking us out. She very politely begged us to write a review on Booking before she could return our deposit, saying that otherwise her boss would punish her. It lasted for more than 15 minutes! She told that her boss forbid to return deposit before we will write review on booking. After she talked with boss on the phone and told that she was allowed to give our deposit back. I sincerely hope she won’t have to keep working with that jerk.
