It was a nice trip, the pickup was fast the bus good, the guide was funny and informational. Also the guys from the booking office were informational and helpful. They also helped with other stuff that we can do around the island.

A very enjoyable day of cruising through Lan Ha Bay, kayaking, swimming and cycling! Ninh is the tour guide who organises the tour, he can be contacted via WhatsApp and found in their office after he comes back from the tour in the evenings. He is really friendly, knowledgeable and is super quick at responding to messages and questions! The organisation of the tour is really good, you get picked up from your hotel and driven to the harbour. There you will meet Ninh, get given your ticket to leave the harbour, get on the boat and then start the day!! On the upstairs deck of the boat you can relax on the chairs and loungers whilst moving from one place to the next. The lunch is quite tasty! They cater well for vegetarians and people with dietary requirements which is always great. There is the option to buy beer and soft drinks. Stop 1: kayaking- you go through a few caves and lagoons. Super pretty! Stop 2: swimming- you jump off the boat and do a short swim to the beach. Then you crawl through a cave to the other side to another beach and do more swimming to another beach. Then you chill and swim back to the boat. For this being able to swim is important! Afterwards you eat lunch. Stop 3: cycling to Viet Hai Village- super fun and such a picturesque road. This also requires the ability to cycle and be physically fit. Others on the boat took the electric car. Stop 4: a quick jump from the boat and quick swim to the beach. This tour costs 450k and is 8am-5pm so very good value! As this is more affordable the boat isn’t as fancy as others however it is still comfy! The only thing I found strange is that there was a divide between Vietnamese people and the backpackers. For example we cycled to the village whilst everyone else took an electric car and with the swimming stops it was mostly backpackers who participated. It felt that many Vietnamese people spent the majority of time on the boat and had a different itinerary to us. This wasn’t a problem it just felt strange! I very much recommend this tour if you are feeling active and like to chill!

we spent fun time with cat ba amazing. we took full day tour with them. our guide phong is a lovely and funny guy xD we enjoyed the cruising, kayaking, swimming and cycling. it was Amazing! Cam on!!!

Mr Ninh was incredibly helpful when booking our tours and bus ride off of Cat Ba. The evening bioluminescent plankton tour was amazing! And he was super accommodating when we had a slight change of plans!

The agent Ninh was very helpful and knowledgeable. He helped us to organize our entire stay in Cat Ba and besides the booked tour also offered us hop on his boat to get back from a self organized hike for free :) The full day boat tour was amazing and had a lot of content and the night kayaking with glowing plancton was truly magical 🪄 Good prices for the tours and also for the buses to Hanoi or Ninh Binh.
