Price was fine. Service was quick at a non-busy hour. The dishes I ordered were fine, but were disappointing compared to all of the Indian restaurants I ate at in Japan. The nan was a little tough, thin and not fluffy. Flavor was fine. The cheese nan didn't seem to have any noticeable cheese and was some kind of cheese flavoring. Overall, not bad but it wouldn't be my first choice of restaurant.
Food was okay but I've had much better Indian food in Vietnam (and Amsterdam). The sauces with the starters were too thin so dipping did not work. Chicken Chili was not spicy and I've had tastier Samosas also, but it was still good eat. Service was friendly and quick. My colleagues who are less familiar with Indian food did enjoy their Butter Chicken though, so overall still ok and on par with other Indian restaurants in the city.
Tried to go, but one of the workers, when I said hello, just turned around and stared at me while he was talking on his phone, then turned back around and ignored me. This was about 16:58, and I stood there while they turned the lights on at 17:00. Maybe they didn't open until then? Is that any reason for someone to go out of their way to aggressively ignore you instead of saying can you wait a few minutes until we open? We will never know! When I stood outside leaving this review, the guy talking on his phone finally got nervous and went to the back to get someone, and that guy came out and stared at me for a moment while talking to the phone guy, and then sort of started to come toward me - but that had been about four or five minutes of me staring at the menu outside while being ignored by the guy who was very interested in his phone call. Like I say, could be great food, I'll never know. Back to Ganesh in Van Cao, where at least you know they are friendly, actually say hello, bring the menu and, you know, act like a restaurant. Arrogant staff on loud phone calls, facing away from the door, who turn around, look at you, and turn back around and start talking on their phone again while ignoring you is probably not a great marketing plan, but what do I know? I do know I won't be back :)
Great staff, nice atmosphere, delicious food, vegan/vegetarian friendly! Highly recommend a stop in!
Nice place. The food is okay and not so strong curry smell like the other. And the staff here is also helpful and supportive.
Tôi no căng bụng.
