A little far from the city center but so worth it. The staff was absolutely amazing. Reception can call taxis for the guests at any time of day to get into town. The breakfast blew my mind, best breakfast we had during our entire Vietnam trip. The views from this property are amazing. It was a bit foggy when we were there but still so worth the stay. Beautiful rooms, great interior-so cozy. Good water pressure in the shower -although if you take long showers you might run out of hot water (found this out the hard way)! Also, walls are a bit thin, could hear our neighbors.

We stayed at Laxsik Ecolodge for two nights and would like to share a fair but honest review. Having worken in the hospitality industry myself for many years, I usually have a high level of understanding, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. To start on a positive note: The breakfast service was consistently warm, friendly, and attentive, and the breakfast itself was well prepared and enjoyable. The breakfast team was clearly doing an excellent job and deserves recognition. Unfortunately, several key aspects of our stay did not meet the standards expected at this price level: Despite asking in advance, no yoga mats were available, which is unexpected for an ecolodge positioning itself around wellness and nature. After a long day hiking Mount Fansipan in cold conditions (around 3°C), the hot water in our room was not functioning, making it impossible to shower or take a bath to recover. There is currently a construction site directly next to the swimming pool. The pool water was visibly dirty and not heated, despite being described otherwise at check-in. Upon arrival, our family brought us to the property. We were informed that no visitors were allowed to accompany us to the room, a rule we found highly unusual and unnecessary. In many years of working in and staying at hotels, I have never encountered such a policy being enforced in this way. Inside the room, guests are presented with a detailed price list for items that would be charged if taken, which creates an uncomfortable atmosphere and signals a lack of trust rather than hospitality. Overall, the front desk communication felt rigid, unprofessional, and not guest-oriented, lacking flexibility, empathy, and service mindset. Before booking, we had also considered alternatives such as Topas Ecolodge and Mont Village & Spa, and in hindsight, we would clearly have chosen one of those options instead. Given the price point, the overall experience does not justify the cost. While the property has potential, the current service standards and guest experience fall short of what is promised.

don't miss their free breakfast (try the omelette with dipping sauces and shrimp dumplings if available, love their sweet soy milk too). there's not much in the vicinity but another amazing food option is eco palms house down the road. one thing i love about the sa pa food we've tried so far is that it tastes so light and healthy while still being flavourful. might be the oil they use? besides food, accommodation and service here is excellent.

Place was amazing venue overlooking the beautiful farm lands, river and valley. The staff were awesome, helpful and super friendly and had a good handle on English. Immaculate gardens and nice landscaping to wander around the resort. Plus heaps of hills and tracks nearby to explore by scooter or motorbike. Great get away venue but not really walking distance from Sa Pa main township, 12 mins by scooter or car. WiFi was great, super fast in the rooms!

I wanted to love it but... the restaurant was freezing cold so we were sitting in coats and still chilly, I got stuck in our toilet because the doors are so tall in the room that if you push it and it goes at an angle it jams, and considering it's meant to be an eco-Lodge I was surprised that when I used one of the complimentary razors it was plastic and also got thrown away by housekeeping (mine had snapped in my bag). The breakfast was definitely not my favourite, we went about 8am and things like the chicken soup and dumplings weren't left heated so they weren't that pleasant, plus I found a dark hair in one of the bowls of condiments. Also our fridge was very noisy so I unplugged it while we were there and we didn't realise until we read other reviews on here but we could have had a fire (our fireplace just had the remains of an old fire in it, we couldn't find any wood.) Because the breakfast wasn't great we bought food in Sapa and took it back to the room in the warm rather than eat in the uncomfortable restaurant. Pros - the black coffee on the breakfast buffet, the views of course, the electric heated blanket on our bed, the staff were lovely, lots of fruit on the breakfast buffet. Also when we arrived the safe was already locked but I called reception and they came straight away to unlock it. Finally - some hooks or a towel rail to put towels and damp clothes up on would be such an improvement. We ended up hanging damp towels over the bath and trying to hook hangers holding damp jackets onto the little shelf behind the bath. Totally impractical.

Superb location and very nice views from all the rooms and facilities. The room was lovely even if the wifi wasn’t working. You don’t need it when you’re on such a beautiful place. Very nice pool and gym. We’ve tried also the restaurant for dinner, it was really good. Huge portions. Very good also the breakfast. The staff is great too.

Very friendly staff! Spacious and nicely furnished room, plumbing a bit outdated, shower went from scalding to cold, difficult to adjust the temperature. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Since most of our plans in the …

For 150USD per night in Vietnam you expect to get something unique. In the pics of the lodge and the valley views they do a perfect job in creating this expectation. But this is more or less where it ends. Everything else was ok (service and food) WiFi and gym were bad to the point of not usable. If it was just this I would still give 4 star, but….. Since the lodge is doing such a good job with pics, I will share my own pics and let you decide. I choose to share pics from our “deluxe premium” bath. “Unique design” that makes the shower drain close to the toilet is strange but the highlight is the bath drain not connected to a pipe, all water goes on the floor, see the video and laugh. So the floor is always wet and there is not even a wipe to help. The whole bath is also rundown to the point it feels dirty. And speaking on dirty, just one pic of the fireplace as we checked in. Since it is not that cold I suspect the ashes there are few weeks old. I’m traveling Vietnam for two weeks already to comfortably say this is not the norm.
