Delicious food. Went in for breakfast and had what I think it's the regular. They do have quite a few other dishes. It also came with fried breadsticks. Think the place also counts as vegan. The soup was so tasty and there were also four types of chili, with one that was a little smoky sauce being my favourite. It's a quiet little place with pleasant music, happy people dropping in and a cheerful old lady that gets happy feeding people. Also keeps the price so low for everyone. Tried to teach me the names of all the condiments and gave me a free herbal tea too. Could eat everyday.

From the moment arrived, felt the village gaze —who is she, it seemed to ask,; an unspoken question suspended in humid air. Approaching the cook’s hearth, choose to sit there as the majority of the stools outside were taken. With a gentle tap, while she is passing by placing another patrons bowl at their table, got her attention; to which, showed her the image of the tomato broth saw in praises here. She nodded—an elegant arc of acknowledgement—and drifted back into her realm of pots and ladles. When the bowl emerged, she motioned me toward the tiny stools outside. My mind was eager to across the street, to claim a patch of grass and solitude. Instead, chose the farthest table, hoping distance might tame the collective mindfulness. When unpacked my own chopsticks and bowl spoon, the attention on me deepened. So, offered my own humble garnishes: • a sprinkle of salt • a whisper of sesame oil • red radish sprouts and fiery rocket beneath lay a symphony: slow-cooked depth, umami’s secret hymn, some all day patient flavor … Each spoonful was heart and history. Mindful of respect, did lay my chopsticks across the bowl’s edge and inverted my spoon when resting—small courtesies she seemed to notice. Served me a cup of bitter, cold herbal tea—a palette cleanser. Although grew up on spice, the fiery chilies on the table here drew beads of sweat like summer rain. When the bowl was empty, crossed back to her area to pay the 35 K for this gift of flavor. She spoke in soft Vietnamese—her words a melody could not wholly follow—yet her eyes and gentle inflections conveyed everything. Then, with the tenderest grace, she clasped my hand. With both hands, both of us. it was a lovely exchange of space. Her smile read: “Thank you. Please come again.” And so I will—driving thirty minutes from Ecopark to this hidden garden—drawn by the magnetic pull of her kindness & the soul-song she pours into every bowl.
