I like to support local businesses and local entrepreneurship. I respect anyone who has the mettel and verve to go it alone. That established, however, there is no reason to give any business a carte blanche simply because of this. To provide some context, a shoe shine anywhere on the streets of Ha'noi will cost you 20000VD, a fair price. I have had these U$600+ Snyder NYC shoes polished that way many times all over this City, and have never been disappointed. A shoe shine here, however, runs at 88000VD, 4x the going price, but it's not four times better, it's probably 1.5x better. N.B., In actuality they upped the price after giving over my shoes, and tried to charge me 98000VD 😱😱 for a simple shoe shine; I didn't pay, I paid the agreed price. To be fair, they did clean the shoes too; they cleaned the soles (unnecessary), and they also cleaned the interior (not really necessary). They also provide a cover (not required), and a paper bag (nice touch, but not necessary). I understand their market is perhaps more pointed towards shoe (trainer) cleaning than polishing, but that's not the service I requested; it also took THREE days... To summate, would I go again? No, definitely not, I'll continue to support the working class men on the street who perform a good job there and then for a fair price. That said, if you want your training shoes rejuvenated, then you could give them a try; your choice.

I tried to somehow clean my shoes myself and made it wet by washing but in the end it did not help and they would not dry for 2 days. I was afraid to lose them but fortunately I found this place and since they work till 9pm I conveniently went there in the evening. Service was polite and informative even though we interacted via translators. They cleaned shoes very well, much better than how I tried to do it at home and I got back well cleaned, spotless and good smelling sandals. There were some tar spots that was impossible to remove and they informed me about that via Zalo which shows that they are very attentive and careful. Since my hotel was near they even delivered it free of charge. Thank you very much, it was a great job.
